Walking in a Warmer Wonderland…

All the talk of climate change, combined with the warm warm weather (mid 50’s tomorrow?!?) motivated my theatrical friends and me to finally record the Christmas carol I reworked for a holiday show a few years ago. Strangely it is even more relevant now than it was then.

This weird warm fall and winter may just be a function of the strong El Nino, and it is important to remember that last winter, that crushing snowy frigid endless winter, didn’t actually begin in earnest until January. Last Christmas was sunny and in the 50’s with no snow where I was (coastal Hancock County). Even with those considerations, it is important to remember that the north east has been the outlier these past few years. Almost everyone else on the planet has been getting warmer and feeling the heat. So to have this snowless warm start to winter, is a bit of a taste of our own medicine. I’m getting ready to rewrite a few more holiday songs…
